Where to Stay for Super Bowl 2027 in Los Angeles

Super Bowl LXI is headed to Los Angeles, with SoFi Stadium hosting football’s biggest game on February 14, 2027.

If you’re planning a trip to LA for Super Bowl weekend, figuring out where to stay deserves almost as much thought as getting tickets.

Los Angeles is enormous. A hotel that looks relatively close to SoFi Stadium on a map can still mean a long drive once traffic enters the equation. At the same time, staying directly around the stadium isn’t necessarily the best choice if you’re turning Super Bowl weekend into a longer Los Angeles vacation.

The good news is that there isn’t one “right” place to stay. You can prioritize proximity to SoFi Stadium, easy airport access, nightlife, beaches or a more upscale LA experience.

Here are the best areas to stay for Super Bowl 2027.

1. Inglewood: Best for Staying Near SoFi Stadium

If attending the game is overwhelmingly your priority, start your hotel search in Inglewood.

SoFi Stadium is located in Inglewood, making this the most convenient area for minimizing the amount of Los Angeles you need to cross on game day.

This is particularly valuable for the Super Bowl. Traffic surrounding a major event at SoFi can be significant, and staying relatively close removes some of the uncertainty that comes with traveling from the opposite side of LA.

Inglewood has also changed dramatically as a sports and entertainment destination. SoFi Stadium anchors the Hollywood Park development, and the nearby Intuit Dome has added another major venue to the area.

Why stay in Inglewood?

• Closest option to SoFi Stadium

• Easier game-day logistics

• Convenient to LAX

• Good choice for a short Super Bowl-focused trip

• Less time spent crossing Los Angeles

The tradeoff is that you won’t be staying in one of LA’s traditional tourist neighborhoods. If your trip includes several days of sightseeing, dining and nightlife, you may prefer one of the areas below.

2. LAX and El Segundo: Best for Convenience

The neighborhoods surrounding Los Angeles International Airport probably aren’t what most travelers picture when imagining a glamorous Super Bowl weekend.

But they make a lot of practical sense.

LAX is only a few miles west of SoFi Stadium, and the airport area contains a huge concentration of hotels across virtually every price range.

That makes this a particularly good option if you’re flying into Los Angeles shortly before the game and leaving the next morning.

El Segundo, just south of LAX, can be an even better compromise. You remain convenient to both the airport and stadium while having access to restaurants, breweries and the South Bay.

3. Manhattan Beach: Best for a Beach Weekend

Want to combine the Super Bowl with Southern California beach life?

Look at Manhattan Beach.

Located south of LAX, Manhattan Beach gives you a completely different experience from staying near the stadium. You can walk along the Strand, watch the sunset over the Pacific, explore downtown Manhattan Beach and still remain within reasonable driving distance of Inglewood.

It’s an especially appealing choice if you’re arriving several days before the game.

Instead of spending your entire trip surrounded by Super Bowl crowds, you can spend mornings near the ocean before heading toward the festivities later in the day.

Why stay in Manhattan Beach?

• Classic Southern California setting

• Excellent restaurants

• Walkable downtown

• Beach access

• Still relatively convenient to LAX and Inglewood

Expect hotel prices to reflect the location, particularly during a major event weekend.

4. Beverly Hills: Best for an Upscale Super Bowl Trip

If Super Bowl weekend is an excuse to go big, Beverly Hills is an obvious contender.

You’ll find some of Los Angeles’ best-known luxury hotels, restaurants and shopping around Beverly Hills and neighboring Century City.

This also puts you in a more central position for exploring LA beyond the game.

The downside is transportation.

Beverly Hills isn't next door to SoFi Stadium, and traffic can dramatically affect travel times. Leave yourself plenty of time on game day rather than assuming the drive will take what your map app suggests under normal conditions.

• Rodeo Drive and upscale shopping

• Central location for a longer Los Angeles vacation

• More of a destination experience than staying near the airport

For travelers making Super Bowl weekend a special occasion, Beverly Hills may be worth the additional travel time.

5. West Hollywood: Best for Nightlife

If you care almost as much about Saturday night as Sunday’s game, West Hollywood belongs on your shortlist.

West Hollywood puts you near the Sunset Strip and some of LA’s best-known bars, restaurants, hotels and nightlife.

It’s also a good home base if you're spending several days exploring Los Angeles.

The biggest disadvantage is obvious: SoFi Stadium is across town.

On a normal day the distance might not look intimidating. During Super Bowl weekend, however, you should expect transportation to require additional planning.

Why stay in West Hollywood?

• Excellent nightlife

• Huge restaurant selection

• Iconic Los Angeles location

• Plenty to do outside Super Bowl events

• Strong hotel selection

This is the better choice for travelers who view the game as one part of a larger Los Angeles weekend.

6. Santa Monica: Best for a Longer LA Vacation

Santa Monica is farther from SoFi Stadium than LAX, Inglewood or Manhattan Beach, but it offers something those areas don't: one of Los Angeles' most complete vacation experiences.

You get the beach, Santa Monica Pier, restaurants, shopping and a walkable core.

For someone spending four or five days in Southern California, that can outweigh the inconvenience of traveling to Inglewood for the game.

Why stay in Santa Monica?

• Beachfront location

• Walkable by Los Angeles standards

• Restaurants and shopping

• Plenty to do without a car

• Excellent for extending your trip beyond Super Bowl weekend

The major downside is game-day transportation. Plan accordingly and leave early.

Where Should You Stay for Super Bowl 2027?

Your best area depends on what kind of trip you're planning.

For the easiest game day: Stay in Inglewood.

For airport and stadium convenience: Stay around LAX or El Segundo.

For beaches without going too far from the stadium: Stay in Manhattan Beach.

For luxury: Stay in Beverly Hills.

For nightlife: Stay in West Hollywood.

For a longer Los Angeles vacation: Stay in Santa Monica.

For a quick two-night trip centered entirely around the Super Bowl, we'd lean toward Inglewood, El Segundo or the LAX area.

If you're flying across the country and spending four or five days in Southern California, however, don't choose your hotel solely based on stadium proximity. Manhattan Beach, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Santa Monica can provide a much better overall vacation.

How Far Is SoFi Stadium From LAX?

SoFi Stadium is only a few miles from Los Angeles International Airport, which is one reason staying around LAX can work so well for a Super Bowl trip.

Don't assume a short distance automatically means a short drive, though. Traffic around both LAX and major events at SoFi Stadium can significantly increase travel time.

Should You Rent a Car for Super Bowl Weekend?

Not necessarily.

If you're staying around Inglewood or LAX for a short trip, rideshare and event transportation may be easier than renting a vehicle and dealing with parking.

A rental car becomes more useful if you're extending your trip and want to explore different parts of Southern California.

Even then, consider leaving the rental car at your hotel on game day if you have a better transportation option.

When Should You Book Your Super Bowl Hotel?

As early as possible.

Super Bowl weekend creates enormous demand, and the combination of fans, media, league personnel, sponsors and corporate events can put pressure on hotel inventory throughout Los Angeles.

Booking early also gives you more flexibility to choose the neighborhood that fits your trip instead of simply taking whatever rooms remain.

Los Angeles offers far more options than simply searching for the closest hotel to SoFi Stadium.

If convenience is everything, stay around Inglewood or LAX. If you're using the Super Bowl as an excuse for a Southern California vacation, Manhattan Beach, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Santa Monica are all worth considering.

The biggest thing to remember is that Los Angeles distances can be deceptive. Pick your neighborhood based on how you want to spend the entire weekend—not just where you'll be for a few hours on Sunday.
